Why your baby will benefit from CST

If your baby is struggling with:
• constant fussiness
• reflux or digestive discomfort
• flat spots
• head-turn preference
• breastfeeding or latch challenges
• tongue tie tension patterns
• delayed milestones
• clenched fists or body tension
• sleep struggles
• hating the car seat
• a history of forceps, vacuum, long, fast, or stressful birth

or if you’ve been told:
• “they’re just high maintenance”
• “they’ll grow out of it”
• “this is just normal”

but deep down you have a gut feeling something feels off, trust that instinct.

Their body may still be holding onto tension patterns from pregnancy or birth. Birth requires a baby to twist, compress, push, and squeeze through the birth canal. Babies are born with reflexes and movement patterns designed to help them through that process. But when interventions take place, labor is prolonged or very fast, or baby’s positioning in utero wasn’t optimal, tension patterns can develop within the body. Sometimes the body doesn’t fully unwind afterward.

Imagine being curled and compressed for months, then going through one of the biggest physical transitions of life. Sometimes those tension patterns settle into the fascia, nervous system, jaw, neck, or body and begin showing up as symptoms.

A lot of times this tension is noticed by trained therapists who can feel fascial and nervous system patterns through gentle touch. When babies feel safe and are not forced into positions, the body often begins to soften and release tension naturally.

CST is not about “fixing” your baby. It’s about supporting their body in returning to balance and helping them feel more comfortable in their own body. Sessions are gentle, baby-led, and focused on creating safety within the nervous system so the body can unwind naturally. Many parents notice improvements not only physically, but emotionally too- easier feeding, deeper sleep, less tension, improved digestion, smoother movement, and a calmer, more regulated baby overall.

Sometimes small shifts in the body can create big changes in how a baby feels day to day. Gentle craniosacral therapy helps support the nervous system, release tension patterns, improve mobility and regulation.

Often babies aren’t “bad sleepers” or “fussy babies.”
Sometimes their body is simply communicating a need for support.
